10 Best Acoustic Guitar Tabs

Calling all people who play acoustic Guitars! ?

So basically I really want to learn how to play an acoustic guitar. My brother has one and lets me use it, but I have absolutely no idea whatsoever how to play it… I know some of the letters and stuff but no idea what tabs are or how to read them :/ lol

I have been on UltimateGuitar.com and looked at their music but It has seemed to confuse me more.

So for example, Love story by Taylor Swift (I don’t care if you don’t like her or the song)

There’s the link… but I don’t understand how to play it, For the first line, Since it say C… does that mean I strum C once and then sing the line and then F when I’m up to the next part or do I strum it more than once :S

I’m extremely confused and any help would be much appreciated

Those letters represent chord changes.

You have to figure out the rhythm, also called “strum pattern” yourself by listening to the song.

And if you don’t know what a chord is, look up “chord diagrams” for each of the notes.

Tabs are really easy to learn, each of the line represents a string on the guitar. And the numbers on the lines are the fret numbers. So you see what string it’s on, go to the right fret and play that note.

Also, you’ll see at the top of the page of that taylor swift song “capo 2″

That means you need to put a capo on the second fret and play from there.
If you have one, lucky you. If not, then it’s going to sound lower than the real song when you play it.
