Free Acoustic Guitar Scores
Any recommendations for beautiful classical music?
I tend not to lean towards ‘typical’ classical pieces, although I do like Clair de Lune, but I could listen to a piano playing for hours. I generally like scores from films – for example, lately I’ve been listening to the Twilight score, particularly “Bella’s Lullaby” and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations for more of the same? I like music that’s emotive and meaningful – I think that’s why I like scores, because I can connect it to the mood of the scene it’s been composed for – but whenever I search for music myself I can’t seem to find anything, apart from the occasional piece I stumble across. Some examples of things I already have are Palladio, Adiemus, a lot of Josh Groban, Toccata, Now We Are Free, and the Twilight score. If anyone has any recommendations for music that’s stirring, beautiful and full of emotion (I particuarly enjoy piano and acoustic guitar) then I would be endlessly grateful.
All classical music should, ideally, be emotive. Composers create music that expresses their ideas and feelings. The feelings induced by these pieces should come across when you listen to them.
From what you wrote, I believe that you would be more interested in program music. If so, you should look into Berlioz’s symphony fantastique (opus 14), which represents a love story. You may also want to look into tone poems and other music that represents “solid” things. Mussorgsky’s pieces reflecting his feelings after viewing art pieces, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pictures_at_an_Exhibition , may be to your liking.
