Best Acoustic Guitar Music Ever
New Acoustic Guitar HELP!!!?
Ok, I want a new acoustic guitar for christmas but i cant decide which one.I’m looking for one thats about $1000 at most.I want it to be Rosewood. I’m playing mostly bluegrass right now but i do like to play other types of music too. I was focused on Martins because i knew alot of people that had them and they are some of the best guitars ever, but I cant find one at that price with a sound that I like. I found a Parkwood (Pw510) and it sounded even better, but I dont know anything about them because they are new and no one knows if they will get better with age or if they will sound bad after a few years. Anyone with any suggestions would be great, Thank you in advance! 
If you are going to spend 1000 bucks, you are at a crossroad. This is where guitars sort of draw a line between low end and high end. I would suggest that if you cant go to the next level..like a Martin or Taylor (I strongly suggest a Martin) that you are better off getting a less expensive alternative. A thousand bucks is a lot of money to spend and not get exactly what you want. And it’s probably not enough to spend to get what you really want.
You might want to look into some Guild guitars. Maybe even some older Gretsch acoustics. These are not toys. They are world class guitars for the price range. You could probably find something around 800 that plays and sounds like a more expensive axe and save your money for the Martin later.
Someone mentioned the Sigmas. Yes, they are nice. But you will know you didnt get a Martin! For that kind of jack, you might even find a used Martin. I know. The older ones get more expensive with age. Not so with the later models. You might find a D-28 or some lesser all wood (not “smart wood”) model in that price range that will satisfy.
Finally, dont be fooled by guitars that sound great “off the rack.” The true test of a guitar is how it ages. Many of the lower end production guitars do not age well. They sound great today, and they sound the same way ten years later. A good Martin or Taylor may not sound as well in the store. But later on, you will be happy you made the choice.
