Beginner Acoustic Guitar Sets
Please… help me learn to play the guitar?
My name is Jon
I have been wanting to learn to play the guitar for years, and years.
I bought an acoustic guitar, searched for images of how to hold chords, and for beginner teach-yourself-guitar books, but I can’t seem to get anywhere. I don’t have the slightest clue where to start. I thought like ABC’s there are a set number of chords but when I google images of chords, there are millions of variations.
Actually I dont know what Im talking about. Please, would those who know how to play the guitar give me some tips as to how to begin playing the guitar.

You should go to a music store (maybe the one where you bought the guitar), many of them offer lessons at the store or at least have a listing of teachers for you…they would also have books about guitar for beginners, etc…or just look in your local yellow pages under music for someone who gives lessons…when you are beginning you really NEED and want a person who knows what they’re doing to teach you so you can learn proper technique, etc. so you don’t develop bad habits…I got some lessons when I first started out and it was great because my teacher started me off with the easier chords and taught me how to transition your fingers from one chord to the next (you have to practice those movements about a million times until they come automatically, but they will)….and after I learned a few chords she showed me some easy songs that only takes a few chords and that makes you feel great…I know lessons can be expensive but they are definitely worth it…good luck and enjoy your guitar!
