Basic Acoustic Guitar Maintenance

Looking for a guitar, can anybody please recommend one?

Hi, I’m just just 15 and looking for a guitar. I have basic experience in playing the guitar and I was hoping I could buy one. I cant figure out if i want an acoustic or an electric guitar. I would prefer an acoustic because i wouldn’t need an amp to play it, yet i also prefer the electric because I find it much easier to play, well at least in the Fender’s case. I’m not sure if it’s just me or acoustics are harder to play because of the way their strings are needed to be pressed…

anyways for now my budget is $150-$170ish (which can be increased based on the guitar), im looking for a guitar that can play very well for that price range, is good for the beginning guitarist, yet can be used for at least 2 years before becoming to simple for the skill level & budget of the guitarist.

Oh and if possible, the guitar isn’t high maintenance, in the sense that i wont be needing to change its strings or other parts.

In that price range, you’ll only be able to go with the cheap Squier, Ibanez, and Epiphone guitars. I’d stay away from the Squiers though, if I were you.
