How difficult is it to learn guitar by Lifehouse "You and Me" on the acoustic?

Lifehouse is my favorite band, and if I hear the song "You and Me" I want to learn how to play guitar. The chords (?) Seems very easy to play, but I wonder if anyone can approach is difficult. Perhaps, from 1-10, where 1 is that everyone learn in a day and 5 is someone who has played for a few years? (Please note not know anything about Guitar vocabulary and have never tried to play it before.) Thanks to all information / entry, and if you can play the song I'm jealous!

Good to see if I can really answer this. The chords of the songs are open chords and a guitar will be easy. So on a scale of 1-10, the chords of the song would be about 2 or case 3. Very simple chords well known. compete in being able to play well and make it sound good, are you going to have to put in some time. The man says, "Oh, I can play that song "and soon will look like the song, but the overall sound very amateur. I could probably reach the point where people recognize the song as well still not as good for a guitar player today in about 2-3 months of hard practice. To play like Lifehouse … I said I would, 2-3 years. There are many more to play the guitar, rather than able to play chords. Time, sound and intonation of the chords and the song is the key to sound good, the things that have a lot of practice and experience. What's on Guitar clear, however, if they are better, you can quickly learn the songs. I have to play about 7 years and could learn almost any song in a few minutes and learn the song perfect in a month if you practice a lot. It is a big difference in learning to play the song, and played the perfect song. I'm always striving for perfection.
