How plausible is a heart-shaped soundhole on an acoustic guitar?
Hey everyone—
I’m building my own custom steel-string, and the theme is hearts. So I was wondering if a heart-shaped soundhole would screw up my tone?
You do see heart-shaped sound holes in guitars but it’s normally like quite gimmicky chinese guitars but I can’t imagine it could change the sound that much… It really depends how good an ear you have and if you already have an idea of what you want the guitar to sound like because I doubt it would make the guitar sound particularly bad just a bit different.
