Are they such a thing as a left-handed vs. right-handed acoustic guitar?

I thought they was both the same guitar you just put the stings on different.

But I seen two or three people on a message board fighting about buying “left-handed” and “right-handed” guitar. some was saying they are to different acoustic guitars and other was saying it the same guitar they are no such a thing as a “left-handed” or “right-handed” acoustic guitar they are just sit up different?

yes, there certainly are.
Some parts of a guitar are designed in such a way that they’re made to put the strings on in a certain order.
The bridge and nut especially come to mind, and for some models the internal bracing inside the body as well.

If the guitar has a pickguard (most do) and/or cutout those will be in a specific position based on how the instrument is supposed to be played as well.
