Wir wissen, dass Musik eine Abfolge von Noten, eine nach der anderen und bildet eine Melodie. Er wurde 1925 geboren und als Junge arbeitete in den Bereichen Kommissionierung Baumwolle in Mississippi mit seiner Mutter und ihre Großmutter, die eine Leidenschaft für Musik hatte begonnen, das Evangelium in der Kirche singen. Dann seine Leidenschaft für die Gitarre angekommen, im Alter von 12 kaufte seine erste Gitarre, und seine Technik verbessert, wenn im Jahr 1943, zog nach Tennessee in Memphis, wo sein Cousin Bukka White, der Gitarre spielte in der Country Blues, half ihm.
